Always True to You In My Fashion by Valerie Wilson Wesley

Rating:    PENS!!!!

Can you teach an old dog new tricks?

Our story centers around Randall Hollis, a successful art dealer at the top of the field.  Randall is intimately involved with three very different women at the same time.  Each woman meets Randall’s needs in a diverse way.

Madora Jackson, an artist that has loved Randall since college.  Madora has finally decided that it is time for her and Randall to call it “quits”.  It is obvious to Madora that Randall does not intend to ever truly commit to her, and only her, despite the fact the she and Randall are soul mates.  However, how will she maintain her professional relationship with Randall?  After severing her personal relationship with Randall, she discovers something that will bind them together for life.

Ana Reese-Mitchell is a wealthy widow and art collector that is handling not only the unexpected death of her best friend, but also the effects of the abuse she suffered at the hands of her deceased husband.  She also has a son to “deal with”, a son who is happy allowing his mother to support him and just “floating” through life.  Can Ana allow herself to love again with Randall Hollis? Can she allow her son to sink or swim without jumping in to save him? Taylor Benedict is a graduate student in art history and a BAP (Black African Princess), rather she realizes it or not.  She is using Randall to further her career, but she will discover that things are not always as they seem.

Randall has a forth woman in his life that causes him much strife and discontent: his mother.  Through his involvement with these four women, Randall learns an invaluable lesson about life and true love.  If you have enjoyed Ms. Wesley’s other books, you will enjoy her most recent novel.  The characters are “real” and their issues are ones that each of us has faced in our lifetime.  Always True is another page-turner from one of my favorite authors.
